The birth of St. Xavier’s College Burdwan is a golden coincidence during the golden jubilee year. St. Xavier’s school has evolved in to an institution of Higher education as it steps in to 50 Glorious years. Thanks to the founding fathers, visionaries and all the well wishers. The students, staff and the administration of St. Xavier’s College gratefully remember all those pioneers of this great institution. St. Xavier’s College will be always indebted to the pioneers of St. Xavier’s school. The administration wishes all the staff and students of the school all success during this golden Jubilee year.
St. Xavier’s College is a project of Jesuits of Calcutta Province to reach out to the rural and tribal students of Burdwan district and neighbouring districts. As an affiliated college of the University of Burdwan, from the very beginning it will serve the students from rural areas who are unable to go to metropolitan city and pursue higher education. Our option to serve the students of low income and tribals will be one of our top priorities. At the same time the institution will maintain excellence in imparting quality education which will enable and empower all the students of the college to be outstanding in the larger society. The institution will also prepare the students to become better citizens who will transform the society and the nation.
Building a future St. Xavier’s College means building and shaping the future of thousands of students and building the future of our country. We are committed to provide every possible opportunity which will support to impart quality education.
I welcome you to join in this great endeavour of shaping this institution and I humbly solicit your generous support and good wishes.
God bless you all !
